A vacancy has arisen for a Shift Manager working within the Unitised division on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient leadership and management of Unitised operations ensuring that the highest standards of health and safety, operational performance and customer service are delivered.
Location: Teesport, Middlesbrough
Working Arrangements: Working 35 hours per week
The five main things our Shift Manager will be working on are:
• Ensure site wide compliance with company safety policies, statutory obligations, undertake inspections and audits and confirm that procedures, risk assessments and work instructions are followed
• Leadership and management of the duty supervisory team and wider teams, ensuring targets and expectations are clearly communicated
• Delivery of operational plans, reporting accurately on deviations and contributing to improvement of planning
• Managing operational performance, ensuring service levels are achieved and taking appropriate action where necessary
• Communication with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels regarding performance and/or exceptions
We are seeking someone who:
• Demonstrable leadership and management experience, and excellent understanding of health and safety procedures and best practice
• Ability to confidently communicate directly with customers and at all levels within the business
• Ability to work under pressure with high accuracy
