A vacancy has arisen for a full time Dock Operative at PD Ports.

Location: Teesport Container Terminal, although there may be a requirement to work in all Teesport and Hartlepool locations.
Working Arrangements: The Port is open 24/7 in line with the business needs and our shift patterns reflect this, so require flexibility.

The main things our Dock Operative will be working on are:
• Primary role of Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) crane operations but working as a team will be expected to operate a variety of mobile plant and other container handling equipment.
• Undertake the safe loading and discharge of various cargo from vessels.
• Help the business achieve its growth targets.
• Operate a safety-first philosophy.

We are seeking someone who:
• Is committed to a safety-first philosophy and able to comply with safe systems of work, risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
• Can work under their own initiative or as part of a team.
• Is an effective communicator.
• Has a full driving license.
• Has previous experience of working as a Dock Operative. RTG experience would be an advantage, although this is not an essential as full training will be provided.
