The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team of staff including agency staff, in a fast-moving, constantly developing operation and resolving day-to-day operational and resource issues in our Specialized Warehouse. There may be occasional requirement to work in one of our other warehouses, to meet the needs of the business demands.

Skills required as part of the role are, excellent people management skills, conflict resolution skills, problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong organisational skills and professional attitude. The successful candidate will have the ability to use own initiative, working closely with the Contract Manager on KPI creation and reporting. As well as experience of working within a busy and fast-changing environment.

The five main things our Warehouse Team Leader will be working on are:

  • Managing Risk Assessments
  • People Management
  • Managing Safety Database information
  • Stock and Health and Safety Management
  • Ensuring loading and receipt of produce, ensuring correct storage methods and procedures are adhered to, as well as being responsible for instructing, coaching, and developing the Warehouse team on these.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has a Grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • Ideally with their own transport; a full driving licence is required.
  • Has experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Has WMS Experience, an understanding of logistics and warehousing knowledge. As well as experience in operating in line with BRC expectations. The candidate will be required to operate machinery at height using a high-level order picker licence. However, training will be provided if necessary.
  • Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and great interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels.
  • Has proven experience in managing teams, dealing with conflict management and staff performance.
