Positive economic and social progress requires commitment and consistency which in turn builds vibrant and resilient communities. In our business, we recognise the positive impact we can have on our local regions and are fully committed to engaging with communities to improve social wellbeing.
Over the years we have built strong and valued relationships with a number of organisations and charities, providing varying levels of commitment from basic volunteering to long-term strategic partnerships.
One of our greatest priorities is young people development. Throughout our business we are engaging with the wider industrial community to collaborate on matters such as training, work opportunities, employability and skills development for young people. This includes work in the community, providing key insights and resources for local organisations such as the High Tide Foundation, Tees Valley Logistics Academy and The North East School of Shipping.
At PD Ports, we actively encourage and empower our employees to give back to the local community. We do this through our FIND IT. FUND IT. scheme which provides financial support for sustainable projects that our employees or their relatives are involved with. This has seen over £50,000 invested in the last 12 years.
