Operations Manager for Tees Warehousing Kate Morris, received prestigious CILT Award for Excellence, in the Rising Star category.
Hosted by the Chartered Insitute of Logistics and Transport, the CILT Awards for Excellence celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations within transport, supply chain and logistics business.
The awards finalists and eventual winners represent a cross-section of the industry, from established corporations to emerging start-ups, all demonstrating exceptional contributions to their respective fields. The winners were chosen by a panel of industry professionals, and announced at a ceremony on 19 September 2024.
Kate was nominated for the category in recognition of her excellence and achievements in the last two years, and her future potential within the business.
At just 28-years-old, she has overall responsibility for a team of 70 people and multi-million pound operations across 350,000 sq ft of warehousing.
When asked about Kate and her Rising Star nomination Warehousing Operations Director Chris Leonard, Kate’s line manager said:
“Kate is tenacious and calm. She is working in a heavily male-dominated environment and holds her own. She has completely changed how we managed that contract and how the warehouse operates.
“Kate is a fantastic example of someone that does everything with quality –everything she leads is done with a bit of class and she is able to deliver a message in a calm and professional way. As a result, her team are fully behind her and support her in everything she sets out to achieve.”
