Following the successful start up of their iron and steel making operations at Teesside, SSI UK are pleased to report that the loading for export of the first shipment of steel slabs will commence on Friday 11 May. It is anticipated that the vessel will leave Teesport for Thailand on Tuesday 15 May with its cargo of 48,000 tonnes of steel slabs, valued at circa $30m.
