Milly Reed – National Apprenticeship Week

We are proud to announce that recent apprenticeship graduate Milly Reed, Assistant Procurement Officer at PD Ports has been shortlisted for the Association of Colleges student of the year award!

This award celebrates truly unique students from AoC member colleges across England who deserve recognition and will go on to inspire others. These awards are an opportunity to highlight outstanding and exceptional individuals and showcase their achievements, talents, and successes. These students have gone above and beyond to give back and positively impact their college and community.

Milly’s apprenticeship journey is a testament to her resilience, determination, and commitment.  She quickly established herself as a dedicated learner, eager to acquire new skills. Despite facing her own personal challenges, Milly persevered. She balanced her personal responsibilities with her apprenticeship, demonstrating remarkable resilience.

Her work at PD Ports involves contributing to the company’s success. Whether through process improvements, innovative ideas, or teamwork, her impact on the organization is significant.

She meticulously planned her end point assessment. Her attention to detail and thorough preparation paid off, she achieved a well-deserved distinction.

Her journey doesn’t end with her achievement. She now mentors new apprentices, sharing her experiences and inspiring them. Her willingness to give back to the apprenticeship community is commendable. Her story inspires both current and future apprentices.

As well as her commitment to her studies Milly’s contributions to the local community through volunteering at The Butterwick Hospice are truly commendable. By participating in events, she directly contributes to the well-being of patients and their families. Whether it’s organizing fundraisers, or providing support, Milly’s presence makes a difference and serves as an inspiration to those around her.
