Multimodal 30 Under 30: Chris Latham

We’re delighted that seven members of our team have been shortlisted for the Multimodal 30 Under 30 list. The prestigious list features young people in the industry who are paving the way for the future and were nominated for their outstanding work and passion for the logistics sector.

To celebrate this fantastic achievement, we caught up with each of our nominees to find out more about them and their role within PD Ports…

Over the last few years, Chris has led the development on interfaces for our innovative booking and operating systems at Teesport. This was a new challenge for him, outside of his daily responsibilities, and he worked in his own time to ensure the success of the project and management of the systems. This is just one of many examples of him going above and beyond for his team.

Chris was also instrumental in the provision of the Gate Automation project, creating marketing videos and content which again sit outside of his usual role.

These continued efforts have helped create a vehicle booking system that has received a hugely positive response from our customers and without Chris’s efforts it’s possible the projects would not have been delivered on time.

We’re committed to developing and implementing new technologies, and he plays an integral role in these plans.

Discussing his nomination in the 30 Under 30 list, Chris said: “The nomination for 30 under 30 came as quite a surprise. In my time at PD Ports I have been in a few different roles and have always given my all. I take immense pride in the fact I have been nominated as it goes to show that hard work will be recognised.

“I think it is also prudent to mention the support my colleagues have given me throughout my employment as without them we wouldn’t have been as successful as we have been.”
