Driver Access Control System

To gain access to the terminal through the automated gate, each driver will be required to scan their access card at the kiosk on arrival.

The access control system in conjunction with the Automated Gate at Teesport, requires all HGV drivers and visitors to swipe their cards at one of the gate kiosks.

The access control system will allow alerts to be sent out to the card holder when the induction requires updating, therefore reducing time wasted being re-directed from the gate to the pass office.

This card will hold a ‘preferred language’ field that will translate the Gate Kiosk screen into the holders preferred language.

Drivers that do not have an Access Card will be refused entry. The induction can be found here.

Once on the induction website you will be asked to login or create an account on the induction system and once logged in, select the HGV Driver Induction for truck drivers or General Visitor Induction for any other visitors.

All drivers must have a form of photographic identification, such as a passport of driving licence and must know their NI number.

All drivers must complete an APHIDS form. The Access Pass Holder Information Distribution System is a database that stores details of individuals who have access rights to restricted areas at UK Ports. This can be done on the day of the visit at the pass office or online by visiting the following:

What do I need to bring with me?

Once the induction has been completed you will be given the choice of how you would like to receive confirmation of your completed induction. This can be printed, by email or by text. You will need to bring your proof of induction with you when you come to collect your card.

Cards can be collected from the Teesport Pass Office (Mon to Sun 07:00 – 19:00) or TCT2 Service Desk (Mon to Fri 06:00 – 22:00).
